Fans had been lining the sidewalk for hours when Jennie Kim got out of the car. On a quiet street in Seoul’s Seongsu-dong district, the multi-talented singer, rapper and fashion icon of Blackpink celebrated the launch of her new capsule collection with Calvin Klein. She wore a monochromatic purple dress with a short fabric dress from her collection, with studs and bows adorning her hair. She looked doll-like as she posed for photographers and onlookers before disappearing on stage in Seoul.
Inside, portions of the capsules are on display for guests to touch and smell while mingling with champagne and hors d’oeuvres. The collection, which was inspired by Jennie’s casual wardrobe, includes denim overalls in chalk blue and desert beige; and classic purple and gray tracksuits; denim mini skirts and crop tops; ribbed tank tops and logo tees; and bodysuits and classic bodysuits. When asked what her favorite piece was, Jenny mentioned what she wore that night. “This is what I’m wearing right now, the purple mesh dress,”
